Northwest Territory bluegrass music

About Me

Mike Gorrell is the founding member of the band and writes the majority of the band's original material. He is the band's manager, emcee, lead and harmony vocalist, and an accomplished guitarist and mandolin player. For 10 years, he was a member of the Whetstone Run Bluegrass Band and currently produces, engineers, and hosts the Picks 'n Bows Radio Show.

Kerri Lehman plays acoustic bass and sings lead and harmony vocals for the Northwest Territory Bluegrass Band. Kerri can be heard on several of the NWT compact discs along with other groups she has performed with in Ohio. Kerri's bass playing is rock solid and her lead vocals are both strong and beautiful. Her vocal range makes her a great asset as she is able to sing not only tenor and high lead but also high baritone. This ability adds quite a bit of variety for NWT's vocal arrangements.

Randall Boring plays banjo and sings harmony vocals. His hard drive and precise timing have kept him busy throughout the years with some very fine bands such as Whetstone Run, Bob Paisly and the Southern Grass, Lower Forty Grass, and Dakota.

Larry Lever has been a prominent figure in the Ohio Bluegrass scene for many years. Most notable among the many bands he has tuned with were The Stone Mountain Boys and Andy Hamilton and East Kentucky Grass. Larry recorded several projects with those bands and also has a solo project. Larry's fiddle playing is traditional and powerful. Not only in his handling of the instrumental solos but also in his heartfelt back ups of vocal material.
